Annual General Meetings
An annual general meeting (AGM) is a meeting held once a year that all members of WA Association of the Deaf Inc are invited to attend. The purpose of an AGM is to give members a report on the activities and finances for the previous year, to allow time for members to ask questions, and to elect members of the WAAD Board for the coming year.
WAAD would like to invite all existing members and new members to our 31st Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 26th September 2018 at the Alexander Lecture Theatre, The University of Western Australia.
The Arts building is located off Hackett Drive, Entrance No 1.
The meeting will commence at 7pm.
The guest speaker will be Kyle Miers, Chief Executive of Deaf Australia.
Kyle will be presenting about "The evolution of Advocacy - The Nature of Advocacy Pre and Post Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability (CRPD) and some of the current challenges in the Deaf community.
